The Solenco 20L Dehumidifier removes up to 20 litres of moisture per day — the top of our domestic range, and the size to reach for when a home has a real damp problem rather than an occasional one. Damp does more than make a room feel cold: it warps wood, lifts paint, marks walls and feeds the mould and mildew that make a house harder to live in.

Design

A Fluted Finish, Not Another White Box

Most dehumidifiers are designed to be hidden. This one is not. The front panel is finished in a fine vertical fluting — the reeded, fluted-glass texture that has moved out of interior design into furniture, lighting and cabinetry — so the appliance reads as something you chose rather than something you put up with.

That matters more on a dehumidifier than it sounds. This is a machine that works hardest through the coldest, wettest months of the year, in the rooms you are actually sitting in, and it needs to stand in a lounge or a passage for weeks at a time. A cabinet you do not mind looking at is a cabinet you leave switched on — and a dehumidifier only works while it is running.

• Digital Humidity Control: Live room humidity on the display, with a target from 40% to 70% in 5% steps, or continuous
• Whisper-Quiet: 40 dB(A) on low speed
• Laundry Mode: Runs the fan at turbo speed to dry washing indoors, with a 12-hour automatic switch-off
• Night Mode: Dims the display and silences the alerts so it can run in a bedroom
• Internal Drying: After you switch it off, the fan runs on for about 90 minutes to dry the inside of the appliance and prevent mould and stale odours

Optional Upgrade

Solenco 20L Odour Filter

An odour filter is available separately, in packs of three. It fits behind the rear air inlet grille and helps to reduce household odours, cooking smells and chemical vapours. It is not supplied with the appliance, and the appliance works normally without it. Replace it every three to six months — it is not washable.
