It began with a complaint about ugly heaters
Mill makes heating you do not have to hide. Norwegian design, and software clever enough that the heater manages the room rather than the other way round.
A family holiday, and a question nobody had answered
In 2010 Philip Bryn was on a family holiday in the mountain village of Nesbyen. He had just left his job as an accountant, and his father Cato had just announced he was thinking of selling the heating company he and his brother founded in 1992.
“Why can’t heaters be as pleasing to the eye as everything else we have in our homes?”
The Bryn family knew heating. What they added was the question.
Scandinavian design means restraint, not decoration
Soft, rounded edges, a gently curved front, and a surface designed to be seamless enough that the heater reads as part of the wall rather than an appliance bolted to it.
Beautiful is not enough
Mill’s own line is that a heater should be smart as well as good-looking. The current generation runs Mill Predictive Heating™ and PID wattage control — the heater learns how your room behaves and holds a temperature on as little power as it can, rather than blasting and cutting out.

Red Dot Design Award 2022
The Mill Invisible WiFi panel heater won a Red Dot for Product Design in 2022, in Heating and Air Conditioning Technology. The award went to the Gen 3 — the heater we sell is its Gen 4 successor.

Mill has taken Red Dot Product Design awards in 2019 (Convection WiFi), 2022 (Invisible panel), 2024 (WiFi Max portable) and 2025 (Smart WiFi plug) — a design record, not a one-off.

Mill reports Best in Test from the Norwegian technology title Tek.no for its WiFi panel heaters, and Smart Home Product of the Year at the Norwegian Electronics Industry Awards.
